    Dr. Paul Kamau Koigi is a young consultant currently serving in three capacities at The Nairobi Hospital: 1. Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist 2. The head of the department of Research 3. The Editor-in-Chief of The Nairobi Hospital Medical Journal In addition to these, he is the acting Assistant Secretary General of the Fertility and Andrology Society of Kenya (FASK). He also serves as the chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Kenya Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society (KOGS), where he also serves as the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology for East and Central Africa (JOGECA). In KOGS, he previously served as a member of the National Governing Council for four years. He also currently serves as a reviewer of grants for Lever-for-change. He has just completed a MSc in Sexual and Reproductive Medicine (UK) and is currently pursuing a PhD focusing on Endometrial Receptivity (University of Nairobi). He is a prolific author with over 85 publications, including 2 training manuals on Value Clarification and Attitude Transformation (VCAT) on abortion care, 1 set of National Obstetric Guidelines and 5 chapters on Female Genital Mutilation that were recently published in the Global Library of Women's Medicine (GLOWM). He has also lectured over 1,000 students in two universities and has directly participated in training over 200 specialists and stakeholders in Kenya and Rwanda.
