Developing data science solutions to mitigate the health impacts of climate change in Africa: the HE2AT Center (HEAT) (Data scientist)

Zaheed Gaffoor is a research scientist at IBM Research Africa. His current research interest focuses on the application and value of artificial intelligence in the earth science domain, with a particular focus on extreme climate and weather. Zaheed Gaffoor has a background in hydrology, where he focused on the applicability of data-driven solutions to support water resource management in Southern Africa.
