    Role of Data Streams In Informing Infection Dynamics in Africa- INFORM Africa (DMAC Lead/Member)

    I'm a doctor in Bioinformatics (UFMG, Brazil) with a research internship at the Center of Epidemic Response and Innovation (CERI, Stellenbosch University, South Africa) and collaboration with Fiocruz (Minas Gerais, Brazil), University of Melbourne (Australia), and Baker Heart and Diabetes Institute (Australia). Currently, I'm an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (Brazil), PI of the Bioinformatics and Artificial Intelligence Research Lab (UFVJM/UFMG), Research Fellow at the School for Data Science and Computational Thinking (CERI/Stellenbosch University), and Data Science consultant in the DS-I INFORM Africa project. My main research interests are Biological Data Engineering, Health Informatics, Machine Learning, and Mutation Effects Analysis.
