    Combatting AntiMicrobial Resistance in Africa Using Data Science (CAMRA) (Administrator)

    Nekpen Ogbomo joined the International Foundation Against Infectious Disease in Nigeria as the Chief Operating officer. She is a finance and administrative professional with varied and extensive experience, supporting the implementation of donor compliant projects, in both development and emergency context; has worked with a number of USAID funded international, national NGOs and Government institution in West Africa and East Africa Region. Nekpen has 20 + years work experience at the senior management level working with highest integrity, professionalism and respect for diversity and gender; Has a good understanding of the international humanitarian policy and best practice. She has a hands-on experience on quality programme implementation, contract administration, close monitoring of all programme financial activities, sub/field office development and operations and management of sub awards. She has organised and facilitated a number of financial management training for the finance and non-finance teams both at the country office level and at the field office level. Also led the financial management training, for the implementing partners (85 implementing partners) and also for the regional implementing partners, for the ECOWAS project. Provided Financial Management, Accounting, Audit, administration and human resources services to a variety of institutions, USAID, UN funded projects and International Non-Governmental organisations. She led several financial management assessments of partners (pre and post award), reconciliation of project accounts, project close out process, monitoring and financial reporting. Nekpen has excellent coordination skills keeping the team informed on statutory obligations and best practise in methods of accounting and reporting to donors. She has good consultative and facilitation skills and good interpersonal, communication and networking skills. Communicates well orally and in writing, in English language. Able to grasp new issues quickly and upskill as required by task to be performed. Possess sound resource management and Ms. Ogbomo has a diploma in Accountancy and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. She is a semi-finalist student member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Nigeria (ICAN). A good team player, with high productivity and integrity.
