    Since 1995, Christopher Whalen has managed the development of vital information and communication systems for global biomedical research organizations. In 2004, he started RDCT, a company dedicated to the unique demands of the worldwide bioresearch community particularly helping overcome challenges in Low- and Middle-income countries. As RDCT's chief, he collaborates directly with NIAID's Office of Cyberinfrastructure and Computational Biology (OCICB), guiding the International Biomedical Research Support Program (IBRSP). Partnering with NIH, his vision has empowered field researchers with state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and scientific identity for collaboration in pivotal regions. The company has been instrumental in establishing cyberinfrastructure (information technology and the people supporting it for research) in places like Mali, Uganda, Cambodia, and India. In recent endeavors, RDCT pioneered data collection in remote areas using mobile technologies, ensuring alignment with global clinical research standards and local regulatory frameworks. He studied Applied Economics (BA) and Economic Theory (MA) at American University.
