    Developing data science solutions to mitigate the health impacts of climate change in Africa: the HE2AT Center (HEAT) (Scientific Advisory Board member)

    I am a HEAT Center scientific advisory board member. I am also paediatrician and health scientist with many years of clinical as well as project and programme management experience. I have over 20 years' experience, leading clinical and research teams; formulating and brokering health and HIV programme policies and strategies and designing, implementing and monitoring health and HIV programmes with different governments and health professionals around the world. Over the years, I have worked with several donor and national governments in North America (Canada and USA), Europe ( Ireland, UK, Norway, Scotland, Sweden, Switzerland and the Netherlands), sub-Saharan Africa (several countries in both Eastern and Southern Africa and Western and Central Africa including Nigeria, Ethiopia, South Africa etc.), South Asia (India) and East Asia and the Pacific (Cambodia, China, Fiji and the Pacific Islands, Hong Kong, Japan, PNG, South Korea. In addition, I have also successfully mobilised large project and programme funds and worked with a wide range of donors, multilateral organisations, civil society, foundations and research and academic institutions in the North and South. I worked as a paediatrician at the University Teaching Hospital in Zambia and with the National Health service in the UK.
