    Research for Ethical Data Science in Southern Africa (REDSSA) (Contact-PI)

    Keymanthri is a Distinguished Professor, family physician and bioethicist who heads the Division of Medical Ethics and Law in the Department of Medicine at Stellenbosch University- a World Health Organisation Collaborating Centre in Bioethics. She is also an adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, USA. Over the past 12 years, she has secured 5 NIH grants and has more than 100 scientific publications. As an NRF rated researcher she enjoys international recognition and is a regular invited speaker at national and international conferences. Capacity development is central to her work and she has graduated more than 40 bioethics scholars in Africa. As a member of the Academy of Science in South Africa, she participates in research with other academies globally.
