South African Medical Research Council (Specialist Scientist)
Dr. Natasha Naidoo is a Specialist Scientist at the Environment and Health Research Unit (EHRU), South African Medical Research Council (SAMRC). Her research is driven by a deep commitment to understanding how climate change and environmental risk factors, such as extreme temperatures and air pollution, impact the health of vulnerable communities in South Africa. As the post-doctoral research fellow on the R-NEET project, Natasha is particularly excited to be part of the team since it aligns with her passion for studying adaptation and resilience in vulnerable communities. By contributing her expertise in environmental health, she hopes to help shape effective interventions that address the mental well-being of vulnerable youth in stressed communities.
