    Dr Zakari Ali is a Research Fellow working on Climate and Health at the MRC Unit The Gambia at LSHTM. His research interests are in food systems sustainability in sub-Saharan Africa. He completed his PhD at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM), working on food systems resilience in low-income settings. His recent works are on the Lancet Countdown Collaboration where he is leading efforts to establish an African Regional Centre on Climate Change and Health. In this role, Dr Ali coordinates a multidisciplinary team of African scientists and researchers to track over 40 indicators on the different ways that climate change affects health in Africa.
