  • Dr Getachew Mengesha

    Advancing Public Health Research in Eastern Africa through Data Science Training (Core Member)

    Dr Mengesha has extensive experience in higher education teaching, research, and consultancy services. He has received over ten research grants from international organizations such as the World Bank, the National Institute of Health (NIH), J.P.Morgan and Chase, CIDA, and ICT4D. He has served as a Fulbright Research Scholar at the University of Georgia from Sept 2018 to May 2019. Currently, He is a core team member of NIH funded project entitled Advancing Public Health Research in Eastern Africa through Data Science Training (APHREA-DST), a collaborative project between Columbia University, Addis Ababa University, and the University of Nairobi and also a member of DS-I Africa Consortium Partnership and Outreach Working Group.
