    Chaimae Samtal is a molecular biologist and bioinformatician specializing in cancer genomics. She earned her PhD in 2023, conducting a significant part of her research as a Fulbright Fellow at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
    Dr. Samtal actively contributes to several pan-African genomics and bioinformatics initiatives, including H3ABioNet, African Genomics Data Hub (AfriGen-D), and the African Bioinformatics Institute. She is a member of the DS-I Africa Consortium Partnership and Outreach Working Group, where she supports collaborative engagement and capacity strengthening efforts across the continent.
