Mariah Felipe is a writer-editor on the Fogarty communications team where she writes for the Global Health Matters newsletter, supports Fogarty events and campaigns, obtains clearance for media requests, responds to public inquiries, and assists with social media and other public affairs duties. Mariah previously worked at the National Cancer Institute, where she managed stakeholder relations and strategic partnerships. Before that, she served five years as a public affairs specialist at the U.S. Navy Bureau of Medicine and Surgery. Her projects included producing the annual Navy Medicine Almanac, leading the redesign of the Navy Medicine website, creating and implementing social media campaigns, and managing media outreach to promote the U.S. Navy Surgeon General during Navy Weeks around the country.
