Media Invitation to Cover Landmark Data Science Meeting at the University of Ghana

We are pleased to invite all media houses to attend and cover the Data for Health in Africa Meeting and the 5th DS-I Africa Consortium Meeting, taking place from 23–29 August 2025 at the Cedi Conference Centre, University of Ghana, in Accra. This highly anticipated event is jointly funded by Wellcome and the National Institutes of Health and is expected to attract over 400 leading researchers, public health leaders, funders, early-career researchers, and entrepreneurs from across Africa and beyond.
This year’s theme “ Data Science in Africa: Strengthening Partnerships and Collaboration across Networks, Sectors and Impact Areas”, the meeting will spotlight:
- Cutting-edge African-led research on health, AI and networking exhibitions
- High-level representation from NIH, Wellcome Trust, Ghanaian government, and African institutions and Early Career Research showcases
